Spot on about the hang5 balance - head forward and foot back locks you in a good place far easier. I found nearly the same thing snowboarding, when learning that downhill turns your scared body wants to lean back, but if you can make it lean forward everything works much easier. My BMX head was able to overcome my scared body there ;)
@@bmxbanditdude I was really conscious of that on the snowboard, body chickening out and starting to shift weight back and head telling it "No! That just makes it worse!!" BMX life skills ;-)
Wow are you already back on your bike 0_0 Thanks for the hang 5 tips. I was really confuse on how to start it properly. But now I understand how you place your backfoot and do your weight change ! Really helpfull Will definilitely pratice it tonight as hang5 is an awesome tricks :) Have a wonderfull week end and sending you good vibe to heal quickly !
Hey Dan, yep. Getting back there and also being super careful. If you haven't already, check out this video for hang 5s. You'll be sweet. Thanks man, I really appreciate the kind words, cheers 🤙
A friend trolls me with Terry Adams videos and the rest of my friends think it's me. I've decided to start riding again and make a video dressed like Terry. I absolutely love your videos. Flatlanding out of nowhere at 46 is scary, but you are helping me relearn how to ride a bicycle with style.
Thank you for your kind words. Take it easy cause we don’t bounce like we used to. If you don’t already, consider yoga classes to help your body move injury free 🤙
@@bmxbanditdude , I found yoga about 10 years ago to help fight off breakdancing injuries. It has worked wonders. I'm just doing balance drills indoors for now, as winter has showed up a bit early this year. I'll be ready for springtime.
i didnt notice that you have such a beautiful blue eyes! im sorry this is out of topic of this video ,but allow me to say youre lovely BMXer with beautiful G-turn n Blue eyes
I didn't notice the lack of cassette hiss until you mentioned it. I'm still finding the lack of hiss a bit weird. But I haven't smashed my knee in weeks. You possibly streched the ligaments in your toe a bit. I did that trapping my foot under a pedal once. I ride in sturdier shoes now cos I don't trust canvas shoes anymore. Hope you're healing well :)
Hey David, thanks. Yeah, it is strange to roll in silence after rolling in not silence for so long. I stopped smashing my knees when I went back to kneesaver bars. I might need to go for more sturdier shoes again, too. Foot and ankle are getting better every day 🤙
Great to see ya healing up and back on your bike! The new ride looks real nice!
Cheers! This is spare bike. It has 36s and a freecoaster. I do like the chrome rims🤙

It is that funny thing that is so counter intuitive. You are far better off committing than to hold back and try and save yourself🤙
